Six Conferences aligned by enrollment. Conferences 1, 2, 3, are County Class “A”

Ten practices are required before the first meet or scrimmage.  Each athlete is permitted to participate in 16 contests exclusive of the Section Championship, the State Qualifier, and the State Meet.  Each athlete must have competed in a sanctioned school meet representing his school six times to be eligible for the Sectional and State Meets. The Conference Meets determine a conference champion and runner-up team. The Class County A  & B meets determine class champions and runner-up teams.  The State Qualifier meet is open only and determines individuals and relays teams that qualify to compete in the State Meet.  The Section VIII relays have been replaced by a development type meet, possibly a cross-over type.  Each team will have three development type meets at SCCC, then a conference championship meet at Farmingdale State.  Tentatively, we will have a Class A, and Class B boys and girls championship meet at SCCC followed by a State Qualifier Meet at SCCC.  The State Championship will be on Sunday March 6^th at the Syracuse Dome.

Individual athletes will compete within their enrollment grouping.  Conferences might be realigned if several changes (adds/drops) before the schedule is approved.

The actual dates, sites, times, will be added when SCCC and Farmingdale State give us this information.  At that time we will provide the  Conference and B/G indications.
