State Meet Syracuse U.Dome

As previously stated, SUNY Farmingdale has a new floor. This plus other factors that the college considers significant have brought about a zero tolerance on rules they always had, but rarely enforced. Now it is imperative that they do so, and as a stipulation in our contract with them, we must enforce these rules and live with them.

This includes no food or drinks permitted in the gym. Violators will have to leave the gym for the evening. No chairs or stands for spectators, especially for the purpose of videotaping. No backpacks or bags can be carried into the gym. Each school will have to deal with the running shoes, and small gear necessary to participate. Schools will have to ensure that their athletes are supervised. Section VIII will also provide supervision. Spike shoes or blocks with spikes are not permitted. These meets are very crowded and intense and the gym is not a good place for small children. Field events add to the hazards that exist in this tight setting. These rules will increase the time it takes to enter the gym and require a brand new set of routines in our program. Athletes, coaches, spectators must be informed, understanding, and cooperative for a smooth season.
