Conference aligned by enrollment. Conference meets decide the Division and Conference quad championships. The Conference meet qualifies team and individuals for the Section VIII/State Qualifier Meet. The Section VII/State Qualifier decides Class Champions for teams and individuals, and decides the qualifiers for the state Meet. At the same time it is also an overall County Championship, and provides a ranking for Qualification for the Federation Championship. Scoring is NF rules, as one overall race. Cross Country has four classes. Mass to Mepham -"A"; Calhoun to Manhasset is "B"; the rest are C except for East Rockavvay which as a "D/ We send the winning team and the top five individuals not on that team to the state meet, except in D where we have sent only individuals based on performance.
All meets at Bethpage State Park. If a new site becomes available, then we can try to maintain Tuesdays only. WE WILL START ALL MEETS AT 4:25 PM. WE WILL REDUCE THE SPACE BETWEEN RACES BY ONE MINUTE. Together these changes keep the overall time about the same and make it possible for schools with bus problems to run in the J.V. race at 4:25 PM
